Map of city with demographical data highlighted

Our Place

What does and doesn't engage with culture in your city or region?

Our Place allows cultural organisations, big and small, to come together and understand cultural engaegment in their area. Using anonymised box office data, survey data and census data at a small level geography, we create a multi-layered portrait.

How much audience and participant crossover is there between cultural organisations in your area at the moment? Who is sharing an audience? Are people involved in participatory programmes engaging with more than one organisation? Are your most frequent attenders loyal to your organisation? Or do those most culturally active engage with multiple organisations? Where is there potential to increase audiences through greater crossover?

From the data analysis we’ll provide recommendations on how you can work collectively to create a place where the creativity of everyone is valued and given the chance to flourish and everyone has access to a remarkable range of high-quality cultural experiences

We will also provide you with advice and recommendations on where and how to find new customers within and beyond your region and make your audience base more reflective of your catchment and the sector more financially resilient.

Our Place can include a wide range of venues from small independent galleries to arts centres, independent cinemas to large scale touring venues. We provide detailed insight into cultural engagement in your city or region enabling impactful collaboration and benchmarking across cultural venues.

Our first major study will be published soon. Get in touch to find out more.
