Grounded in the realities of cultural practice
Courses are led by Dr James Doeser, an experienced researcher, consultant and coach with a CV that straddles academia, employment in the sector and freelancing. James is assisted in the development and delivery of the programme by David Brownlee of Data Culture Change. David’s previous cultural leadership experience includes roles as Executive Director of UK Theatre, Chief Executive of Audiences UK and Managing Director of Purple Seven.

Module 1: Improving Organisational Performance
Current and aspiring leaders in the cultural sector including Executive Directors, Finance Directors, Marketing Directors, and Development Directors.

Module 2: Mastering Cultural Sector Data
Current and aspiring leaders in the cultural sector including Executive Directors, Finance Directors, Marketing Directors, and Development Directors.
On completion of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Find, generate, analyse, interpret and operationalise data and the insights it provides for organisational performance
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of different types of data
- Design, build and populate your own data sets
- Integrate and compare your data with local and national data sets

Starts April 2024.
The course runs over a 12-week period between April and June 2024 during which you will be required to take part in 2 in-person workshops (Edinburgh) and 8 online classes.
